Road to Ozmozis 200
Toronto-based promotions and events company, Ozmozis announces the ‘Road to Ozmozis200‘ in anticipation of their 200th event, taking place New Year’s Eve 2017. To celebrate this milestone, Ozmozis welcomes a heavy handful of today’s prestigious DJ-Producers of the Progressive world. With four dates dedicated to the masterminds of deep, hypnotic Progressive and Techno, Toronto music lovers have a lot to feel thankful for. Each show will take place at Toronto’s notorious College Street nightclub, NEST, equipped with a Dynacord sound system, which each artist will surely put to use!
Kicking things off on October 14, Ozmozis calls upon Dutch modern-day composer, Eelke Kleijn. Now a familiar face to the Toronto circuit, Eelke’s spell-bounding music has righteously secured him as one of the industry’s rare talents. Joining Eelke will be Global Underground frequenter Danny Howells. With a back catalogue that would blow most producers out of the water, Danny’s cutting-edge sound and infectious personality are something special to witness from the dance floor.
On November 4, globally acclaimed DJ-Producer Nick Warren takes to the decks. A true legend in the game, Nick Warren’s DJ career spans two decades, maintaining a classic, timeless sound. Joining Warren will be German megastar Marc Romboy and Amsterdam’s Patrice Bäumel. Both artists’ abilities to blend ambient electronica and minimal techno guarantee for stand-out sets, time and time again.
December 3 will see Spain’s prestigious Henry Saiz and Berlin’s Sascha Braemer. Saiz, who takes influence from everything electronic to create a magnificent balance of Electronica, Disco, House and Techno will undoubtedly be one of the highlight artists of the year. Similarly, Sascha Braemer pulls from a myriad of sounds to create a unique blend of groovy, atmospheric deep house that keeps dance floors breathing for hours. This is a night not to be missed!
Bringing 2016 to a close, December 16 will see one of the most impressive bookings yet! Sudbeat ambassador and Argentinian progressive wizard, Hernan Cattaneo will make his return to Toronto. If you’ve not yet had the chance to witness this master at work, Hernan Cattaneo is an artist that all music-lovers should make a priority to hear. His seamless mixing behind the decks, as he transitions between multiple genres that are laden with rich melody and lush, lulling groove sets his performances apart from all others! Joining Cattaneo will be another progressive icon, Lost & Found label owner, Guy J. The two artists will be going at it, playing back to back all night long, making this night one for the books.
