Sister Bliss set to open Dubai’s first Dance Music Conference

The organisers of the Middle East’s first Dance Music Conference (DMC) have announced that the inaugural event will be held in Pacha Ibiza Dubai, and will be headlined by a Faithless founder Sister Bliss, joined by chart-topping electronic music DJs; EDX and Mark Knight. DMC will be two days of debates and workshops by music industry experts, followed by a dance festival each night headlined by world renowned DJs, combined with the best local DJs.

“It’s a real pleasure to be travelling back to Dubai to be part of its first music conference and to headline what is shaping up to be an amazing party with so many well-respected international DJs, as well as exciting local talent.” says Sister Bliss who headlines the event fresh from the success of the Faithless twentieth anniversary number one album and world tour.

The most important and influential industry figures in dance music in the UAE will participate in DMC. The conference will open with a Q&A session from Sister Bliss, EDX and Mark Knight. The audience will be made up of leading DJs, promoters, entrepreneurs, global brands and technology pioneers, who will deliberate on the future of dance music in this region and beyond.

Faithless were one of the first electronic acts to find true international success, so we are deeply honoured to have their name headline DMC.” Corey adds, “Pacha is a globally iconic brand, and it is an real triumph for DMC to partner with this music power-house in our launch year; together we aim to deliver the ultimate clubbing experience in their stunning and versatile venue.”

The leading promoters and pioneers in the region’s dance music scene; including Audio Tonic, Analog Room, Artists Network (organisers of Groove on the Grass), Shibuya and Coma, and local grown international stars, Hollaphonic, will take part in the conference and present a showcase during the parties at night.

DMC will also see the launch of the Toolroom Academy, a master-class for DJs and Producers. Toolroom is one of the most respected independent dance music record labels. Legendary DJ and Founder of Toolroom says, “I’m really excited about passing on some of the musical and A&R knowledge we’ve amassed over the past 12 years to the next generation of producers – and who knows – maybe finding the next Toolroom superstar.”  Toolroom nutured the talent of some of the most successful global DJs such as Hardwell.
