Slam announce massive summer line-up for their renowned monthly Return to Mono residency dates

Armed with an outstanding array of guest artists and an extended 4 am licence, techno titans Slam are going to be throwing some of this summer’s biggest parties in the Sub Club at their Return to Mono monthly residency.

The legendary club night will see trailblazing Slam joined by up-and-comers and veterans of the scene. On June 14th Sub Club will welcome to the decks Surgeon and Noncompliant; two long-standing heroes of the rave. Surgeon, a DJ and producer who is regarded as a seminal force in UK techno, will grace Sub Club’s booth for the first time in four years in what promises to be a phenomenal return. Joining him is Noncompliant; the long-established DJ and producer is renowned for destroying dance floors with her own brand of bold, defiant, driving techno and was a big hit when she played at Slam’s Maximum Pressure party last year!

July’s Return to Mono will see Slam joined by one of the most intriguing artists of the moment, JANICE who is bringing his live performance to Glasgow. The buzz surrounding the enigmatic JANICE is rooted in a stream of consistently solid releases and appearances at some of the most formidable club nights across Europe. The artist, who was born and raised in Berlin, plays according to a doctrine of individual expression and unique experiences. JANICE is defined by emotion, translated into transcendent techno.

The final date in this summer’s run of Return to Mono will introduce Headless Horseman to the iconic DJ booth. Mysterious; masked; and a master on the decks, Headless Horseman’s Sub Club debut is one any self-respecting Glaswegian techno devotee should not miss. The Berlin-based producer takes an abstract approach to his artistry and finds inspiration in everything, from the sounds of nature to industrial noise. Limitations are nonexistent to the Horseman; in his music or his performances.

The Slam duo continue to be a tour de force, renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound and their 6 deck, back-to-back DJ performances.

Dates:
14th June: Slam + Surgeon & Noncompliant
12th July: Slam + JANICE (live)
9th August: Slam + Headless Horseman
