Spencer Brown announced for Global Underground nubreed 13

Global Underground have been responsible for bringing the world the most cutting-edge electronic music for the last thirty years, true pioneers of how we listen to dance music. And what a thirtieth year it’s been so far! Sold out tours, the incredible Deep Dish GU49 Dublin and the upcoming THIRTY compilation, Global Underground have always been ahead of the curve. 

Now, they bring you the next exciting instalment in their nubreed series with the excellent Spencer Brown. The nubreed series has always been about promoting the very best emerging talent from across the globe with a nubreed of DJs and Spencer Brown’s stunning mix is no different. Spencer Brown and Global Underground will be embarking on a nubreed world tour in late 2026 and early 2027 to celebrate this exceptional album. Stay tuned for further details.

The San Franciscan goes from strength to strength. A prolific artist whose three albums to date have been his own productions. With nubreed he has created two masterful mixes – one lighter, one darker, a mix of his inspirations plus his own originals. Timeless tracks spanning across three decades, seamlessly mixed into two stories, re-edited and layered into a completely new universe.

Spencer Brown nubreed #13 will be available on 2XCD as a DJ Mix: on 2 x Heavyweight coloured vinyl as individual tracks, and also on Digital and streaming. 

Spencer Brown explains: I’m grateful to be able to showcase artists that have inspired me. This whole project has been taking things that really resonate with me, bridged with tracks I’ve written especially for this mix and bring you two cohesive stories, one on each disc. It’s an honour to release on such a legendary brand and to help shape the style of the future of electronic music. Life is a combination of emotions and this mix has various moods to build a whole picture, there are a lot of secret weapons from my sets.
