In the light of the tragic events of the Grenfell Tower fire on Tuesday morning, Studio 338 and Anomalia will host a special fundraising event this Sunday (June 18th) at Studio 338 to raise money for the victims of the fire.
Confirmed to play the fundraiser so far are Apollo 84, Leftwing & Cody, Bazaar, Shane Mac, Clive Henry b2b Leroy Roberts, East End Dubs, Third Son, Yacine Dessouki (Anomalia) and more.
“We are deeply saddened to hear about the tragic fire in West London yesterday,” reads a joint statement posted to the event’s Facebook page.
“We know first hand how devastating a fire can be and our hearts are broken for them. We were supposed to be closed this Sunday but have worked through the night to arrange a co-hosted event with Anomalia this Sunday in the garden to raise funds for those affected. 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the London Community Foundation, who have recently launched the appeal.
We have more artists to announce over the next couple of days but massive thanks to the artists who will all be supporting the cause on Sunday.”
Studio 338 knows all to well the dangers of fire after the outdoor club was devastated by fire last year, where one of its members of staff sadly lost his life. The event will be held at the newly refurbished garden space complete with Cherry Blossom trees and gypsy Caravan DJ booth. There will dancers, raffle competitions, face painters and a BBQ serving burgers and chips all day.
