TEED has announced his long-awaited DJ-Kicks mix, arriving 26th June, alongside the release of first offering, “Never Seen You Dance (DJ-Kicks Version)”, a reimagined, club-ready update of his 2022 track. The new version sets the tone for the mix: uplifting, vocal-led and built for movement. Reworked from the ground up, it features new arrangements, rhythms and energy tailored for the dancefloor, offering a fresh entry point into TEED’s vibrant DJ-Kicks world.
“It is an honour to announce my DJ-Kicks. I’ve been listening to this series since I was 10 years old, and it’s incredible to now be a part of it.” TEED
Born Orlando Higginbottom and formerly known as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, TEED’s relationship with electronic music runs deep. Raised in a musical household and classically trained from an early age, he developed a parallel obsession with jungle and drum & bass, spending his youth digging for records in Oxford. That passion would evolve into a globally recognised project, blending melodic songwriting with club sensibilities.

Submit your Mix of the Month DJ Competition entryNow based in Los Angeles, TEED channels over a decade of life and work in the city into this DJ-Kicks mix. Inspired by the “pre-gaming” moment before a night out, as his LA friends call it, the mix captures a sense of excitement, warmth and possibility, a buzz just before the night begins.
At the heart of the release are five TEED exclusives in total: two reworks, two original tracks, and a cover of KC & The Sunshine Band’s “Please Don’t Go”, forming a core thread through the mix’s wider narrative.
The mix also features a blend of carefully selected tracks and exclusives from artists including Joe Goddard, Austin Ato, Jacques Greene, Casino Times and Oscar Farrell, alongside further reworks of TEED’s own material. Moving fluidly through house into deeper, more textured territory, it balances peak-time energy with introspective moments before drifting into a dreamy, ambient close.
