The Chemical Brothers make their Arcadia debut at Glastonbury

The Arcadia Spectacular, the 50-tonne fire-breathing spider, has revealed its full Glastonbury line-up for 2023, alongside announcing the transformation of its arena to run entirely off renewable energy sources – using recycled biofuels to set the pulsing heart of Glastonbury’s late night world alight.

The fiery arachnid will come to life with The Chemical Brothers making their Arcadia debut, taking to the controls early on Friday with a DJ set, and across the weekend, the lineup features Floating Points b2b with Daphni, Wilkinson with Adapt, VTSS, Skepta b2b Jammer, Sherelle, Hybrid Minds, Shy FX, Skream b2b Interplanetary Criminal and many more.

“The Spider has always been a symbol of positive change, repurposing what was once the machinery of war into a unifying totem for tens of thousands of people. Now with a recycled fuel source, it has that same spirit of transformation running through its veins” said Pip Rush and Bert Cole, co-founders of Arcadia.

The Spider awakes each evening at 21:30, and The Arcadia Bug kicks off the field at 18:00. By day, the Bug will be heading out on patrol, jamming impromptu moments and lighting up the arena before nesting back in the Spider’s shadow.
