Theo Kottis has just released the uplifting disco tinged house record we all need right now

Theo Kottis delivers the uplifting disco tinged house record we all need right now with ‘Seventies’, released on Skint Records on 6 November

With the joyous ‘Seventies’, Theo Kottis unleashes a whirlwind of vintage soul, funk, and disco, brimming full of groove and capped off with a sample from the iconic Mike Dunn, to produce a feel-good track which immediately makes you forget your worries.

Theo Kottis said: “‘Seventies’ was produced alongside my previous single ‘Never’ – my aim was to create something fun and carefree, intended for clubs, but hopefully a track that can be enjoyed at home for now! I hope the easy-going sing-along lyrics bring some light relief to your days – having legendary Mike Dunn sample in there makes this one extra special for me.”

‘Seventies’ rounds off an excellent year for the London-based house producer Theo Kottis who made his Panorama Bar debut alongside Gerd Janson in February. This resulted in Gerd Janson remixing Theo Kottis’s ‘Turning Around’. Other releases were the acclaimed tracks ‘Never’ on Skint, ‘Nothing To Lose’ EP on his Beautiful Strangers label, ‘Power Cut’ on the Permanent Vacation 6 compilation, and remixing Disclosure’s ‘Douha’ (Mali Mali).  Theo Kottis also presents a popular monthly Rinse FM show.

Supporters of Theo Kottis’s previous releases on Skint Records included The Blessed Madonna, DJ Seinfeld, Job Jobse, Erol Alkan, Annie Mac, Tiga, Horse Meat Disco, DJ Tennis, Bill Brewster, and Tim Sweeney.
