Thierry Noir: Techno, an immersive multi-medium exhibition that celebrates the works of French muralist Thierry Noir and talent from London’s iconic techno club, Fabric. Well known for his striking large-scale colourful murals and paintings, Thierry Noir’s practice is intrinsically linked and born in the heart of Berlin’s underground techno scene.
Thierry Noir will unveil new paintings created exclusively for Christie’s over the past year in a space that showcases Noir’s vividly coloured visual universe, and the viewer can be transported to the vibrant techno scene in Berlin.
At Christie’s our aim is to share Thierry Noir’s contagious love for nightlife, underground artistry and techno music and the exhibition is open to the public at our Galleries in King Street, London from the 28 September until 2 October 2023.
Christie’s will also be partnering with Girls Rock London (GRL)- a Hackney-based charity working to provide accessible music education projects for marginalised girls, women, trans, and non-binary people- with the sale of Thierry Noir’s painting Perfect Light Over The Dancefloor; which will be offered in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online 3-17 October.
