Since the beginning of the pandemic London based artist Third Son has been busy – he wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered and released his debut album 20 Days, in, you guessed it 20 Days. This was followed by remixes from Desert Sound Colony, VONDA7, Chambray, Joshua James, Posthuman and many more. The creative process and story was all discussed in an interview with the artist himself in a short documentary piece with Stamp The Wax.
Following on from this remarkable achievement, Joe has been going back to his early music collections that informed and inspired his work over many years, making his own re-imagined interpretations of them to form a new body of work called Retrograde. Out this summer, the album covers electronic, to rock, to minimal piano and ambient. The LP will be accompanied by a short run of tapes, the medium mostly used by the artist in formative years. The album was produced from his home studio in London.
What To Expect? Cover versions of Boards Of Canada, Philip Glass, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Moby, Brian Eno and more, all written in the artists signature style.
