Heralded as Cologne’s secret weapon, Tim Engelhardt is back with his musically charged, melody based brand of House on Poker Flat Recordings with four blissful tracks spanning the Progressive spectrum. Tim’s trademark harmonious structure works perfectly in setting the scene and conjuring adventurous thought.

‘Thinkin Of You’ kicks things off. Time has managed to impressively combine various sounds from, some might say, various genres to fascinating effect. A rolling acid bass links up with the rounded kick drum and smooth combination of drum parts t provide us with the distinct House rhythm. Various effects provide a wide scope and a piano plucks away in true 90’s style. This wonderful piece of music makes for epic beginnings.

‘Azimute’ is deep and full of wonderful depth. The bright reverb layers in top of the plucky synth to provide a nice ambience. The low end is powerful and rumbles away in the depths whilst some scintillating strings gift us with a majestic melodic element.

‘Your Words Keep Me Safe’ has a more robust, Tech feel to it. We are driven along by the deeply layered pluck and decaying bassline. Again, Time progressively moves into a fantastic melodic arrangement that spews euphoria. We are left with a great feeling of tranquility.

‘Energy Transfer’ is a track full of wonder. It doesn’t follow your usual conventions when it comes to House music. The main midline squelches along, being twisted up by a warm flanger with that stabby Moog sound Tim has nailed down. Time has provided us with 4 tracks demonstrating his special sound that has a place of its own. He is an artist with such a unique sound that he has become completely recognisable amongst the masses.
