Review : Rhythm Converted head, Tom Hades releases his much awaited Steps On You EP

Artist : Tom Hades
Title : Steps On You EP
Label : Rhythm Converted
Release : Out Now
Genre : Techno

All aboard the Rhythm Converted train, Tom Hades returns in powerful style with this new 3 track EP. With wide spread support from DJs as diverse as AnGy KoRe, Danny Tenaglia and Sasha to name a few, this is what we call in the industry a ‘must have’ release.

First up, Steps On You gently filters in a hypnotic vocal atop Tom’s trademark beats. The addition of the synth stab accentuates the vocal even more and in combination with the percussive elements transforms this into a beast of a peak timer. Tedium is anything but. A catchy synth melody contrasts perfectly with the harder sounding percussion and low end tribal groove. Treat this with care, because dance floor devastation is a guarantee!

Cadavers is more melodic than your normal Hades release, but nonetheless is a welcome addition to the pack. Slowly building in intensity over the course of the track with a devilish Reese bass, cleverly placed percussive elements and the uplifting layered synths add bags of personality and energy. This is Hades super inspired, and the results are clear to see. As the various elements come in and out the track builds incredible tension, and the payoff after the break is perfectly judged. Expect this one to do very very well over the next few months.
