Artist: Tone Depth & Simply City feat. The Easton Ellises
Cat No: SB058
Release Date: 03/11/2014
Tone Depth and Simply City deliver a wonderful emotional track that features the rather sublime vocals of The Easton Ellises. It’s not often we get a vocal on Sudbeat but when we do we can certainly be sure it will be chosen with love and will always deliver on quality. The release includes an original and nice reprise tool that would make for a good intro or outro tool
First up on the release is the original mix which begins with a prolonged warm and melodic intro which will no doubt be loved by those DJs always searching for a good intro track. The intro soon progresses into the deep tones of The Easton Ellises on vocals that really do compliment the track, before we head into to some beats. Nothing is too overstated in the track and all the elements complement each other perfectly. As the track builds and progresses towards the break the track is filled with some great cinematic like chords that lift the track and fill it with a beautiful warm glow. The break is used nicely to focus on the vocal again before all heads back to that great bassline and four to the floor beats. Great track for those early warm up sets and one that would grab the attention of the more progressive dance floors around the globe.
Next up we have the “Lost On A Beach Reprise” which is a great tool that would be perfect for chopping up, using as an outro or and intro. The track begins with some sounds of the sea that all blends nicely into the chords and then the bassline. We are soon presented with a minimal breaks style beak and the vocal. Towards the middle to end of the track we do get the four by four beats again which pick up the pace nicely. Definitely a useful tool for you DJs that like to play around with tracks.
Another good release from Hernan and crew! I don’t need to tell you to go and buy this, as I know most of you will do so regardless of what I say.
