Trip Radio is set to launch this Friday

Trip Radio is the brainchild of graphic designer/DJ Craig Mars (ACID87) and DJ William Anthony (Former UGC resident) promising a fresh take on internet radio. It launches on Friday the 14th of May and features a diverse blend of new breed producers, alongside established artists who will be delving deep into their collections to serve up a high-quality curation of techno, house, electro and disco.

Having appeared numerous times on the radio, Mars and co-owner William Anthony took on board what they saw, deciding they wanted to offer a more community-based approach for artists. The roster sees artists including Sagia (100% Pure/Blackwiz), Rohar (Off Recordings) organic house star Kovu (Another Life) and house aficionado Clyde Rouge whose tough hip-shaking house has recently been snapped up by Circus Recordings. Headlining Friday nights will be the LTS (Liverpool Techno Scene) contingent, lead by DJs Tom Page and Jennie Wren, bringing you all things techno shaped. LTS has joined the dots in the Liverpool techno community, becoming an essential hub for promoters, labels and artists, throwing incredible parties and gaining a large international following. Saturday sees amongst other things ‘Head In The Clouds’ a new melodic techno show with guests such as Jim Rivers (Bedrock) already booked, before handing over the reins to lethal UK techno duo KUSP (Rekids/R&S) to head up the evening’s proceedings.

Alongside the radio station will be the community-based forum which will offer a space for producers to share tips, tricks, and advice on careers in the industry. This will be supplemented by regular industry podcasts such as MYT’s (Make Your Transitions) Beyond The Studio podcast, DRR podcast Liverpool (Whose techno show has seen the likes of Mark Broom and Dany Rodriguez grace the decks) and professional branding and bio writing service for up and coming producers. The platform will offer shows to emerging artists at the start of the week, a grassroots slot set for Thursday night, with Friday and Saturday featuring established artists. The Sunday comedown will then see podcasts, chill out and downtempo selections ease listeners back into the week ahead.

On a mission to set themselves apart from the over-saturation and white noise in the market; the platform is set for collaborations with the world of fashion; one-off live streams from unique locations, and special live events bringing the whole community together.
