Continuing the celebrations around the 25th anniversary of The Prodigy’s game-changing third studio album The Fat Of The Land, XL Recordings today announce a stacked new remix package. Available on 28th July on special edition silver 12” vinyl and digital, ‘The Fat Of The Land 25th Anniversary – Remixes’ will feature exclusive new remixes from Mefjus and Camo & Krooked, Gydra and René LaVice alongside Andy C’s iconic “Firestarter” remix from last year.
To mark the news, DJ and producer Rene LaVice (well known for his years hosting Radio 1’s Drum & Bass Show) has remixed “Mindfields” which is released today.
Following its 1997 release, The Fat of the Land became a global phenomenon, debuting at number one on album charts around the world and going on to sell over 10 million copies. The first single to be released from the album was the incendiary “Firestarter” which saw Keef Flint take centre stage on vocals for the first time. It was released alongside the groundbreaking video shot deep under the streets of London, directed by Walter Stern. Stern’s video was recently remastered and is now available officially in HD for the very first time. Watch it HERE.
Meanwhile, The Prodigy perform a string of EU festival shows this summer ahead of an autumn headline tour that will include two nights at London’s 10,000-capacity Alexandra Palace on 24 and 25 November. For full details head to The Prodigy’s website.
