DJs UNITING AROUND THE WORLD TO RAISE AWARENESS OF PEACE DAY, 21 SEPTEMBER
Peace One Day has partnered with the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation (LNADJ) to launch an exciting new initiative for Peace Day, Set for Peace.
Peace One Day and LNADJ are calling for DJs and promoters around the world to celebrate Peace Day – Saturday 21 September 2013. DJs will be asked to play a ‘set’ in the name of peace and promoters will be asked to dedicate their event to Peace Day. Our vision is to hear the DJs of the world, from conflict zones to nightclubs, to the front rooms of our homes, playing a ‘Set for Peace’, raising awareness of Peace Day.
Fundraising and donations from sets or events are optional.

How does raising awareness help?
Through detailed analysis conducted with the support of McKinsey & Company, the Peace Day 2012 report found that, across the world, approximately 280 million people in 198 countries were aware of Peace Day 2012 – 4% of the world’s population. The report further estimates that approximately 2% of those people (5.6 million) behaved more peacefully as a result. As a result of Set for Peace and other initiatives, Peace One Day expects its message to reach over 600 million people in 2013.
Peace One Day
In 1999, filmmaker Jeremy Gilley launched the non-profit organisation Peace One Day to document his journey to create the first ever annual day of ceasefire and non-violence. As a result of these efforts, the day was unanimously adopted in 2001 by United Nations member states, fixed as September 21 – Peace Day.
With the day in place, Peace One Day’s objective is to institutionalise Peace Day, making it a day that is self-sustaining, an annual day of global unity, a day of intercultural cooperation on a scale that humanity has never known.

Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (or LNADJ for short) is a UK Registered Charitable Foundation.
LNADJ has created partnerships with organisations within the dance music industry, and with charities, and seeks to set up mutually beneficial fund raising and awareness initiatives and schemes that benefit everyone.
Registered in June 2011, the LNADJ Foundation has held promotional events to raise awareness of different causes and also its brand. The philosophy has always been to make raising awareness the priority over raising funds.
