After a fantastic birthday bash with Kompakt Records, cultured London party people Avant Garde waste no time in getting back to business with a mouth wateringly rare line up on June 27th. Taking place at a special venue to match the special occasion, headliners will be the one and only German electronic legend that is Apparat alongside Spanish vocalist and moody house specialist Pional.
For this event, Avant Garde are taking over East London blank canvas and arts centrifuge Oval Space. The venue has, in the last week, upgraded its sound system, and AV will be putting in custom visuals for this event, so expect some sensory stimulation like never before, and maybe even a touch of brain melting!
Apparat will be playing on his birthday so expect something extra special, but given his history under a range of aliases you already knew that. The man born Sascha Ring runs Shitkatapul – a revered label for years- and is celebrated for his mesmeric live shows but is also a fierce DJ, of course. Expect all sorts of freaky electronic treats from all sorts of sounds and scenes and you will not be left wanting.
Hivern Discs man Pional’s musical talent is world renowned, with his own vocals and instruments infusing his haunting house and tech tracks (and those of the likes of John Talbot) to moody, captivating perfection. Rabota and The Troubadour also play and round out what is sure to be a kaleidoscopic musical journey all night long.
