Into My Heart is the third single from Alice Rose’s third artist album “each is a DREAM” which got released on Manual Music in the fall of 2013. The title song is by far the most mainstream pop song on the album, a real feel good tune perfect for the summer time!

Also included are two brand new tracks that didn’t appear on her album; “For Love” and “Poetic Eyes”. Both melancholic, but the first one being more uptempo and “Poetic Eyes” being the sweet little song that it is.

As you may have been expecting from the both the label and us here at This Is Progressive, there are some rather tasty remixes to go with the original, more pop orientated tracks. Manual Music really have pulled out some heavyweights here with the almost flawless Gabriel Ananda and our colleague and friend Jaap Ligthart.

First up of the remixes we have Gabriel Ananda’s vocal interpretation of “Butterflies”. This is a very well produced tribal number that uses Alice Rose’s beautiful vocal to full effect. One that would work on both underground and slightly more commercial dance floors purely because of its beauty. The dub is simply just a stripped back vocal (as some of you would expect from a dub) and is aimed for those DJs who want to avoid a full vocal. I actually do prefer the break on the dub version and would be my choice of Gabriel’s remixes here.

Next up we have Jaap Ligthart’s versions of “I’m Gone” and, as expected Jaap takes things a little more of a proggy tip here. Jaap’s vocal is a lot deeper than Gabriel Ananda’s version and would be perfectly suited for those deep warm up sets. Jaap’s vocal version makes good use of some effects over the vocal which in my opinion make the vocal sound, not only darker, but better. I also really like how the track kicks after a very atmospheric break! Great work Jaap. With Jaap’s dub he choses to remove the vocal completely, unlike Gabriel Ananda. Again another worthy piece of work here and one I did enjoy! Great journey Mr Ligthart

A great package here even if some of the work does lean more to the more commercial sound in parts. Love Gabriel Ananda’s dub and both of Jaap’s reworks certainly would be welcome in any warm up set. Another stellar release on this almost faultless label. Mr Hazendonk you are doing a sterling job!!! Keep up the good work!
