Diynamic Revisited is a new concept by the forward thinking label which will see a series of EPs released. Each EP will include one artist remixing two tracks from the label’s extensive back catalogue of gems. The first in the series sees man of the moment, David August tackle tracks by Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Stimming.
First up we have David’s take on Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s ‘Last Day’, and some of you may well remember this track from his very beautiful Boileroom mix which he constructed. David’s version of the track is a slowed down deeper affair that is simply filled with beauty and melodic treats. I absolutely adore this man’s work at present and it is a track you must go and listen to and I mean listen! Superb!
The next track on the EP is David’s take on Stimming’s ‘Der Schmelz’ which was released in 2010 on the ‘Change EP’. David, as with the first track takes you on a magical journey filled with luscious, warm melodies and beautiful layered synth sounds. This track would draw the attention of any crowd and instantly make anyone feel emotion. It is like being on a magic carpet ride wrapped in blankets of warm lush melodies.
This EP has to be one of the most beautiful melodic releases I have heard in some time and if you enjoy an emotional break in your track then this EP is for you. I cannot wait to hear what other tracks will be reworked as part of this series but it will take some work to beat the opening reworks by David August. If there are any budding producers out there, this is how to make real deep house music.
