Steve Parry’s and Dave Seaman’s imprint returns with its 14th release and what a release it is. This release features French production duo Melokolektiv, and it follows on from their recent releases on Crosstown Rebels and Get Physical.

First up we have the track ‘Polaroid’ which is a very evil sounding cut. This is a track that certainly could grace both progressive and techno sets, and would make any dance floor feel like they needed a wash after hearing it. Just a low down filthy track with a great lead synth and a growling bassline! The track has a great break that is filled with an atmospheric vibe, and would certainly lift anyone towards the front of the dance floor.

The second track on the EP is ‘Left Out’ is in some ways similar sounding to the last track but has a housier sounding percussive lead. Again the track is dark and moody and would certainly set the tone for those techno infused evenings. As with the last track you just need to check out the evil bassline, and those cheeky builds that are thrown in throughout the track.

Next up we have ‘Safari’ which begins its journey with some warm atmospheric keys, and it would be a good intro track for those peak time sets. When the track kicks it has a good groove and some nicely laid out breaks. One for you intro collectors I think!

The final track on the EP is ‘Oxygen’ and again we have a slightly different sound to the other tracks. This is definitely aimed at the more progressive market. When I say progressive I mean really good and moody progressive. The track is filled with a moody synth and a grumbling bassline but the track does manage to keep a good groove at the same time. Definitely one I can see being hammered by the big jocks!

All in all a very solid package here and another strong release for the Selador crew! There literally is a track for everyone here from house to progressive to techno. Go check it out ladies and gents, you will not be disappointed.
