This man doesn’t need any introduction. He has churned out slabs of house and techno since I can remember, and it is always of the highest quality. Robert Babicz returns on his own label BABICZSTYLE again with a set of tracks that are very big.

The opening track on the EP is “Mercury Bells”, and this track has been floating around on Babicz’s Soundcloud page for a few months now. I am glad he has finally decided to release it as it is a beautiful track that is filled with a delightful haunting vocal. The track will no doubt cause a huge stir, and I suspect it will be massive. Great track to end a set with!!! Robert also provides a dub version of the track for those who don’t want to hear any vocals in their sets, and the dub takes up the next slot on the release.

Next up on the EP is “Loli And The Snuggle”, and it is a great little house number that has a very tough groove and some wicked stabs. The track features a very warm and delicate melody that is teased into the track from the off. This is a great journey track and one I recommend you take a listen to!

The next track on the EP has the rather interesting title “Purple Bender”. This track is very much the sound of Babicz that many of you may recognise. It features a tough edged acid sounding groove that he just works so well. One for the late night sets this one! Stellar work from the man Babicz!

The final track on this stunning EP is “Not Alone” which is a stunningly beautiful soundscape that is almost Sasha like in its intricate keys. Forget your four to the floor with this track, it is all about the broken beats. This really is a sublime and intricate journey of beauty, and what a way to end the EP. Lovely!!!

Very good release here from Robert, as you might expect. What you might not expect is some of the tracks, as they do differ from his more well known sounds, and that is definitely a positive. Great EP!
