Those guys at Sudbeat are back once again to save your party from the tyranny of mediocrity. The lesser-known Warm Hall have been drafted in with a 4-tracker full of bass-driven Dance and intricate electronica.

Firing off with ‘116’, we commence the party with a full-on Techno-style bassline that paves the way for the electro-tinged loops and synth keys. The keys don’t really do the track justice, and actually sound a little bit cheap by comparison. Nevertheless, it’s a solid effort on the whole.

Following up is ‘Generic’, which i’m afraid to say is very aptly titled. There’s nothing here I can recommend and despite having all the right ingredients on paper, the end result is sadly very forgettable.

Thankfully we do end up back in more favourable pastures with ‘Listen To’, which does away with the abrasive basslines and instead focuses on the melody. The almost acidic underlying riff bubbles away nicely whilst the keys are given plenty of room to manoeuvre. Cool stuff for sure.

Finishing up with ‘Unknown’, the strategically-placed Detroit-influenced claps sound off underneath the filtered synth loops and it all steadily progresses towards a sizeable breakdown. There’s hints of vocal that are never intruding, and certainly never overbearing, which is exactly how you want it when handling a track like this. It’s easily the pick of the bunch, and if dropped at the right time, would serve as a nice precursor to that floor-grenade you’re itching to unleash on your crowd.
